Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you visit hubetjr.com. I’m Daniel Mercer, and I run this site to share practical techniques for filming and editing real estate video. Your privacy matters to me, so I want to be clear about what happens behind the scenes.
What Information Is Collected
When you browse the site, some data is collected automatically — things like your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how much time you spend reading a post. This is standard for most websites and helps me understand what content actually helps people.
If you choose to sign up for email updates or leave a comment, I’ll also have whatever information you provide — typically a name and email address. I never ask for anything beyond what’s needed to send you the content you’ve requested or to let you join the conversation.
How That Information Is Used
- To deliver the articles, tips, and occasional updates you’ve signed up for.
- To see which topics resonate most so I can write more of what’s useful.
- To respond if you reach out with a question or comment.
- To keep the site running smoothly and spot technical issues.
I don’t use your data to build profiles, sell anything, or make automated decisions that affect you.
Cookies
Like most sites, this one uses small files called cookies. They remember things like whether you’ve visited before or what preferences you’ve set. Some are necessary for the site to function; others help me see which articles are popular through basic analytics. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, though that might affect how some parts of the site behave.
Third-Party Services
I use a few trusted tools to keep things running:
- Analytics (like Google Analytics) to understand traffic and improve the content. These services may set their own cookies and collect anonymized data.
- Email delivery if you subscribe to updates. Your name and email are stored with that provider solely to send the emails you’ve asked for.
- Embedded content (for example, a YouTube video in a tutorial) may behave as if you visited that external site. Their own privacy policies would apply.
I don’t share your personal information with anyone else, and I don’t sell or rent email lists. Ever.
How Data Is Protected
I take reasonable precautions to keep the information you share safe — secure connections, limited access, and working with reputable providers. No method is perfect, but I do my best to stay on top of it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal data I hold about you.
- Request that I correct or delete it.
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time (every message includes an easy opt-out link).
- Object to certain types of data processing.
Just send me a note, and I’ll sort it out. There’s no bureaucracy here.
Links to Other Sites
Sometimes I link to products, software, or articles I trust. I can’t control how those external sites handle your data, so it’s worth checking their privacy policies if you click through.
Changes to This Policy
If anything changes, I’ll update this page and note the new effective date. For significant shifts, I may also mention it in a blog post or email. Otherwise, by continuing to use the site, you’re agreeing to the current version.
Effective date: June 1, 2025
